Typical characters you will find within a thriller film - we have presented these characters within a fakebook account; we done this to show that we understand the typical characters that occur within a thriller film.

Thriller Location(s) Recce and Contingency Recce

Location 1 - Piccadilly Circus

Charring Cross, located in the heart of London, will be featured in our film opening as the establishing shot/location of the film. It is a busy area, which gets a lot of human traffic as people pass through. This helps create the feeling of Isolation for our citizen character, yet, seem the norm as it's often a part of Londoner's commute. Below is a screenshot taken from Google Maps to show the location and surrounding area of Piccadilly Circus:

Location 2 - Alley way

Ormand Yard, Central London. This is the location of the climax of our thriller. This alleyway is quiet enough as to not disturb anyone, yet still has the noise and look as if it were in a busy part of London

Contingency Location - Alley

We filmed a Contingency recce in the occasion that we run into troubles when filming our original Thriller location. This would be somewhere that we believe we wouldn't run into the troubles that stopped us from using our first location. For this, we decided somewhere closer would be better. We chose our local town, Dartford.

This would also be the site of the final scene from our film opening. It still has the industrial, gritty look of our original location. This site also has little needed in the way of management, and will be quick and easy to film at. Here is a screenshot on Google Maps of the possible area we could use:

This area highlighted in red is the area we could use. However, we'd have to consider a fair amount if we used this site as a local market can cause high traffic in this alley, which is unwanted as this is the death scene and isn't meant to cause any suspicion. This of course, must be mentioned in our risk assessment

Storyboard Correction

With this one the composition is a bit off, i should move the closest character a little bit to the right so hat his face is in with the line and i should move the furthest character more to the right allowing more space in the middle and better composition. Could use a high angle on this

 

With this one i just need to move the background characters more to the left for better composition 

I should move him more to the right to give him some head room/eye room 

The furthest character should be move to the other side to allow space in the middle and for better composition also use a low angle to show they have more power in this situation  

I should of framed this more to the left for better composition and to make it fell like there is motion 

Use a higher angle to show vulnerability 

This one is framed too much in the middle so if i move it to the left the the composition would be better

Should move the character furthest away more to the right to make the composition better

I should use a higher angle to show that the character is situation he cannot handle and his vulnerable

Sub-genre Voki

This will explain what sub-genres are in great detail it will do this by givving examples so there is a greater understating of sub genre

Enigma Codes

Enigma codes pose questions to the audience which are then answered shortly after or later on in the film. Enigma codes start off towards the very beginning of the film this is a great technique as it entices the audience and keeps them intrigued throughout the whole film instead of giving it away straight away.

Who is Tyler Durden?

Jack - This is possibly the name of the unnamed protagonist. He was once a slave of capitalism but was aware and suffered from insomnia because of it. Upon realising this, he formed an alternate personality and alter ego called Tyler Durden in older to live a more primitive and unpredictable life. What triggered this was likely his encounter with Marla whose philosophy about life was that she could die any time. "Like so many others I have become a slave" referring to slave of capitalism and conforming to pointless consumerist demands.) 
Tyler Durden - Our unnamed protagonists alter ego and alternate personality. Tyler Durden represented everything Jack wasn't, a non conformer to the dominant ideologies of society and primitive in form. He guides the protagonist who imagines his presence on the path of enlightenment or rather to a primitive state of mind and for his ambitions. At the films resolution we partially believe both personalities must have fused together. Tyler is charismatic, physically capable and has no fear which is what was needed for Jack's hidden agenda to be achieved. "The things you own end up owning you."
